Eden Valley Therapy

I have extensive experience working with young people, helping them navigate the often complex and challenging journey of making sense of their world and themselves. This period can be an extremely difficult time, marked by a unique set of pressures. Young people frequently grapple with stresses related to school, including academic expectations, peer dynamics, and the often intense social pressures of adolescence. Simultaneously, they’re navigating changing relationships with their parents and siblings, which can bring new boundaries, evolving expectations, and shifts in family roles. I’m dedicated to providing a supportive space where they can explore these challenges, develop coping strategies, and build a stronger sense of self.

They also have stressors connected to social media, which is often difficult for parents to negotiate, especially as the digital landscape constantly evolves. Navigating issues such as online bullying, privacy concerns, and the pressure to curate a perfect online persona can be overwhelming for teenagers. Parents often find themselves struggling to keep up with rapidly changing platforms and the potential risks that come with them, leading to miscommunication and generational gaps in understanding. Additionally, the addictive nature of social media can cause excessive screen time, affecting both mental health and academic performance, thereby compounding the challenges parents face in guiding their children through these turbulent waters.
